Wander through the shop and watch the weavers at their age-old craft.
Alpaca wool is one of the softest animal fibers and comparable to Cashmere. It is also warmer than sheep wool and mohair and does have hypoallergenic traits.
At the Alpaca Loom, we shear all alpacas every year in September. After being spun into a variety of yarns, most of our annual clip is woven into product right here at the shop.
The natural colors of alpacas ranges from white through fawns and browns to the much rarer grey and black, making the alpaca one of the most unique fiber producing creature.
